Citrine Cafe

Taking the train up the Hudson to reunite with an old friend in Garrison we decided to get out in Cold Spring for a wander and a cup of coffee. As walking about with two heavy suitcases proved rather cumbersome we cut our exploration short (charming town though!) and picked a place at random. We lucked out – with a warm welcome by the charming guy manning the café (allowing us to bring in our luggage), we settled down to wait for our pickup. Best cup of coffee during our trip to the States that was, followed by some hot chocolate (out of curiosity) which whilst not as tremendous was well made and hit the right notes, too. Spent the rest of the stay chatting, exploring the shop and generally having a good time. Thoroughly recommended.

Great service, relaxing atmosphere, and delicious coffee. This was the perfect place to get some work done this morning. The spicy mocha is fantastic!

I didn't get food here, but the coffee is AMAZING! It is inside a cute boutique. There's only seating at the coffee bar so not a great spot to get work done or chat. But if you're looking for a place to get the best coffee, this is the spot.

My life partner and I participated in a gentle nature walk that day. It was our first time back in Cold Spring in more than five years. I was very impressed by the supreme level of customer service, and I still cannot decide if the house pour over coffee smells better than it tastes, or vice versa. Personally, I found the aroma excellent and the taste Divine. The surprise was the Crystals that one could purchase. I had never seen a business that was a Crystal and clothing shop on one side, and I found that combo incredibly cool. By the way, when my life partner and I visited, the bathroom was out of order, but the nearby MetroNorth Cold Springs station has a working bathroom. The employees are hyper focused on what they do, so if you are dining in and ready to order, definitely let an employee know you are ready to order. Next time I visit, I AM going to the Crystals first!

This coffee shop inside a boutique is such a charming spot! The atmosphere is lovely, and the lattes were absolutely delicious. I also really enjoyed their organic iced tea. I did notice that the matcha is pre-bottled rather than freshly prepared. One small drawback is that the restroom isn’t available for customers, so plan accordingly.

Such a lovely cafe! The food was good, and the pour over coffee was heavenly. They stock really high quality Onyx coffee beans.

I had the most incredible experience at Citrine Cafe! After an amazingly relaxing massage with Simone upstairs, I headed to the cafe, and it was the perfect addition to my day. I tried the cardamom and rose latte—such a unique and delicious blend that felt like a treat for the senses. No exaggeration when I say it was the most delicious and decadent herbal latte I’ve ever had. Truly a potion for relaxation and warmth. The turkey and Swiss sandwich with arugula and pickled onions was divine, with the perfect balance of flavors in every bite. The cozy, welcoming vibe of Citrine Cafe just made the whole experience even better. This spot is an absolute gem in Cold Spring—can’t wait to come back!
